BuildNXT Is Live: Practical AI Training Built for MEP Contractors

Dynaimix has launched BuildNXT, an online AI academy made for contractors. It teaches the AI skills your people can use on real projects this week, organized by the role they hold.

Most AI training is written for office workers in tech. BuildNXT starts from the jobsite instead. It focuses on the work mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractors already do every day, and shows how AI can take some of the load off.

Why This Matters for MEP Contractors

MEP work runs on paperwork as much as it runs on pipe, conduit and ductwork. Submittals, RFIs, change orders, coordination meetings, safety documentation and daily reports all compete for the same few hours your PMs and supers have left after the field work is handled.

That is where AI earns its keep. A project manager can turn a messy coordination meeting into clean action items in minutes. A safety manager can draft a job hazard analysis for an overhead electrical install and then spend their time reviewing it instead of typing it. An office team can get a new apprentice’s onboarding packet out the door the same day they’re hired.

With skilled labor tight across the trades, none of this replaces your people. It gives the people you already have more time for the work only they can do.

What BuildNXT Offers

BuildNXT combines role-based training with a searchable knowledge base, so your team can learn a skill once and look it up again when a real project calls for it. Training happens inside the tools most contractors already have, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, so nobody has to learn a new platform before they see results.

The academy is mobile-first and available around the clock on any device. A foreman can work through a lesson on a tablet in the truck, and a PM can finish it at a desk. Teams move at their own pace, and leadership can follow progress from a team dashboard.

Every plan also includes live AI Office Hours with instructors, where your people can bring questions from their own projects. When a learner completes a track, they receive a verified digital certificate that is shareable and permanently recorded.

The Courses, and Where They Fit in an MEP Shop

Intro to AI is the starting point for everyone. It covers real prompts in ChatGPT and Copilot, how to use these tools safely with company information, and results people can apply on day one. It gives your whole crew a shared foundation before anyone specializes.

AI for Project Managers covers RFI workflows, meeting summaries, scheduling and budget automation. For an MEP PM juggling coordination with the GC and other trades, that means faster RFI drafts, cleaner notes out of every coordination meeting, and less time rebuilding reports by hand.

AI for Safety Managers focuses on incident reporting, JHAs, toolbox talks and compliance. Your safety lead can produce a toolbox talk on arc flash, confined spaces or working at heights in a fraction of the usual time, then tailor it to the crew and the site.

AI for Administration & HR handles onboarding, policy drafting and HR workflows. For shops that are hiring apprentices and journeymen steadily, it shortens the paperwork side of bringing someone on.

Two more tracks are on the way: AI for Sales & Marketing, and AI Council for executives.

Getting Your Team Started

BuildNXT is available now for teams of any size, from a single office up to companies with 500 or more people. Every plan includes Intro to AI, certificates, live office hours and access to new courses as they launch.

The contractors who get ahead with AI won’t be the ones with the biggest tech budgets. They’ll be the ones whose people know how to use it on Monday morning. Get early access to BuildNXT and our team will follow up within one business day.
