On June 17th and 18th, Dynaimix AI trainer Dan Callahan led an Intro to AI training with Mojave Electric at the Southern Nevada NECA training center in Las Vegas. The room reflected the full depth of the organization, from C-level executives and general foremen to project managers and estimators, which made for a rich and productive two days.
Mojave Electric has been one of the Las Vegas Valley’s most respected electrical contractors since 1978, operating across estimating, new construction, service, and systems divisions. They came into the training already using Microsoft Copilot and had taken it a step further by enabling Frontier access, giving their team the latest capabilities available within the M365 Copilot experience.
That foundation meant the training could move quickly into the features that matter most. Participants got hands-on with drafting and sending emails and managing calendars directly within Copilot chat, capabilities that immediately resonated with the group. The Notebook feature for collaborating with colleagues on active client projects was another standout, giving teams a structured way to work together inside the AI environment they are already using.
As the two days progressed, the energy in the room built steadily. Ideas were generating ideas. People were connecting capabilities to real problems in their own departments and talking through applications with colleagues across the table.
The capstone on the afternoon of day two put that momentum to work. Attendees broke into groups and spent the session ideating on agents they could build for their specific roles and workflows. Each group presented their concepts to the room before the training closed out. The presentations reflected genuine thinking about how AI fits into Mojave’s actual operation, not theoretical use cases but practical tools built around the work the team does every day.
Mojave Electric left the two days with a clear picture of what Copilot can do, a set of agent concepts ready to develop further, and a team that felt equipped to use AI safely and effectively. For a firm already committed to staying at the front of the industry, that combination is a strong starting point.
