In a now-viral video, a sprinter gets a 200-foot head start in a race… only to be caught by a guy in a suit flying past him like a rocket. That was me — the guy in the lead — or so I thought.
It was 2020. We had just secured PPP funding, and things felt stable. That’s when I launched a podcast called Digital Marketing Masterclass with my business partner. Our goal was to interview the top 50 content marketers in America — and we did it. We even teamed up with legends like Andy Crestodina.
But then, a guest named Paul Roetzer changed everything.
Paul talked about artificial intelligence, and at first, I thought AI meant robots and Terminators. But after an hour of hearing what AI was doing to marketing, it hit me — if even 30% of what he said was true, companies that embraced this would leapfrog mine.
That’s when Dynaimix was born. While my team continued to lead Farotech, I dedicated 80% of my time to building Dynaimix — a company created to help other businesses stand in the AI gap.
Because I realized this: It’s not always the smartest company that wins. It’s the one that adopts technology the fastest.
The Wake-Up Call: AI Isn’t Just the Future — It’s Now
Looking back, I can say that Paul Roetzer didn’t just open my eyes to AI — he gave me a glimpse into the new reality of business. AI isn’t some futuristic concept reserved for tech giants. It’s here now, and it’s transforming how businesses operate at every level.
The Importance of Embracing AI
AI is no longer optional for companies that want to stay competitive. It’s a strategic necessity. Whether it’s automating routine tasks, predicting customer behavior, or analyzing mountains of data in seconds, AI has the potential to revolutionize nearly every industry.
Here’s why learning AI is critical for every business leader:
- Efficiency Through Automation: AI can automate repetitive tasks, freeing up valuable time and resources. This means your team can focus on strategy rather than mundane processes.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: AI helps turn raw data into actionable insights, allowing you to make informed decisions faster than your competitors.
- Enhanced Customer Experience: Personalization at scale is now possible. AI algorithms can predict what customers want before they even know it themselves.
- Competitive Edge: Companies that adopt AI are not just keeping pace — they’re setting the pace. Businesses that fail to invest in AI now risk becoming obsolete within a few years.
- Skill Development: Teams that are trained in AI are more adaptable and prepared for future challenges. Investing in AI literacy is an investment in long-term success.
Don’t Just Watch the Race — Run Faster
Just like that viral video, I realized I couldn’t afford to stand still and watch others fly by. AI isn’t just a technology — it’s a mindset shift. It’s about being proactive rather than reactive and investing in your business’s ability to adapt to change.
The businesses that master AI will dominate their industries. Those that don’t will get left behind — even if they’re already in the lead.
Dynaimix was born out of the realization that I needed to help businesses make that leap. Because in this race, it’s not just about being the best. It’s about being the fastest to embrace change.
The clock is ticking. Are you ready to run?
